Rhea Ripley vs. Dana Brooke

Now we shoot back inside the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville where the SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley emerges and makes her way down to the ring for our next match of the evening.

Ripley settles inside the squared circle and her theme music dies down and Dominik Mysterio takes his place at ringside. Now we shoot to a split-screen “earlier today” interview, which shows Dana Brooke vowing to show her “untapped potential.”

From there, we hear the theme music for Dana Brooke as the women’s wrestling star makes her way down to the ring to challenge the champ. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one.

We see Ripley dominate straight out of the gate. She dominates for the first two minutes or so of the bout and then Brooke connects with a DDT. Right after that, however, she leaps off the top-rope and is caught and Donkey Kong’d into the mat by Ripley.

Ripley follows that up by hitting a Rip-Tide. She then grabs up the legs of Dana and slaps a prison lock submission on her for the tap out victory.

They replayed clips of last week’s angle with Dana Brooke and Reggie.

As Reggie made his ring entrance, Saxton said he’ll let Reggie know it’s not all that bad being the friendzone.

Reggie said he just came out there to get something off his chest. He said first he wanted to bring Dana Brooke out to the ring. She made her entrance to her music. She looked perplexed. Reggie told her he has been very supportive of her winning the 24/7 Title from the beginning. He said he cared for her, more than just friends, but he gets she only wanted to be friends. He said last week he lost sight of what was important and took advantage of an opportunity. He said he just couldn’t resist, but it left him with a horrible feeling all week. He said from the bottom of his heart, he is sorry. He said he also wanted to show her how much she means to him. He asked for a referee. Reggie lay on his back and let Dana cover him. The ref counted, but Reggie kicked out. He told her to do it again. She did. He kicked out at two again. Reggie smiled. He talked her into trying again. She did, but this time she kissed him and got the three count. Reggie popped up, looking happy with how that turned out. R-Truth charged to the ring. Reggie dropkicked him. Dana knocked Akira Tozawa off the ring apron into the arms of Tamina. He puckered up, but Tamina dropped him. Dana ran to the back as the parade of others followed her.

R-Truth, Tamina and Akira Tozawa are running around backstage, looking for Reggie and Dana Brooke. The two of them appear once they’re gone. Dana thanks Reggie for his help and says he’s made her a better Champion. She kisses him on the cheek. Reggie asks her what that means and Dana says they’re “really good friends”. The two of them hug but then get chased off by Truth and co.

We go backstage and Tamina Snuka attacks WWE 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke out of nowhere. Brooke fights her off and retreats right as Riddle and Chad Gable make another lap on their scooters, lap 18 of 50. Tamina recovers and goes looking for Brooke to end the segment.

Rhea Ripley cut a promo earlier today in which she said she has a score to settle with Nikki A.S.H but right now she’s focused on the Royal Rumble. She will do anything it takes to win it. Dana Brooke then cuts a similar promo. Liv Morgan is next and she says everyone saw her nearly become Champion, but at Royal Rumble there will be no nearly.

Rhea Ripley, Dana Brooke & Liv Morgan Vs Nikki A.S.H, Tamina, & Carmella

Tamina starts with Brooke and drops her with a clothesline. Tamina lands some ground-and-pound, then goes to a submission. Brooke fights up and makes it to her corner. Ripley tags in and dropkicks Tamina, then knocks Carmella and Nikki off the apron. Ripley hits Tamina with some short-arm clotheslines, then a ripcord headbutt.

Rhea hits a dropkick, then a kick to the gut and a fisherman suplex for a near-fall. Carmella runs in and kicks RIpley, then Morgan dropkicks her, Nikki runs in and hits her, Dana knocks her from the ring, and Tamina drops Brooke. Carmella then tags in and looks to jump on a downed Ripley but Rhea grabs her with the Prism Trap and Carmella quickly taps out.

Winners: Rhea Ripley, Dana Brooke & Liv Morgan

Reggie and Dana Brooke are backstage with Edge and Beth Phoenix. Edge says Reggie can do things he can’t even wrap his mind around. Reggie asks if he has a chance tonight against Omos and Edge laughs and says “Hell no” but wishes him luck. Beth congratulates Dana on her title run and she thanks her. Edge and Beth then run into Damian Priest, who says it’s great to see them and that he sometimes feels a little edgy.

We see Dana Brooke and Reggie backstage, preparing for his upcoming match with Omos. Behind them a referee, Tamina, Akira Tozawa and R-Truth appear eating popcorn. Reggie isn’t confident and scared of Omos but Dana tells him to stay away from Omos and he’ll be fine. They walk off and Truth says Dana just told Reggie to go get got.

Omos Vs. Reginal (w/Dana Brooke)

As the match starts, Tozawa, Truth and Tamina rush down and chases Dana Brooke through the ring and back out. Reggie jumps on a distracted Omos but gets caught and choke bombed. Foot on the chest.

Dana Brooke and Reggie are backstage eating cheesesteaks but Reggie says something feels off. He makes them leave but R-Truth appears with a trash can so they go the opposite way and run into a referee. Akira Tozawa pops-out of R-Truth’s bin and they throw the cheesesteaks but he ducks them and they run off. Tamina appears covered in cheesesteak and flips out.

We see Omos walking backstage but Reggie runs into him and falls over. Omos lifts Reggie up against the wall and berates him until Dana Brooke tells him to leave him be. Omos drops Reggie and tells him he’s going to do far worse. Omos then makes his entrance to the ring.
